We at Musical Fidelity have always had the greatest respect for integrity and quality of original, pre-1997 AudioLab equipment, made when the company was owned and run by Phil Swift and Derek Scotland. We thought their products represented incredible value for money and had excellent, if conservative, designs.

The original AudioLab legacy is extraordinary. In our opinion, the design and build quality of the original AudioLab equipment was great, even by today’s standards. In fact, if they were launched again tomorrow, they would give most of the products out there a serious run for their money – surpass quite a few.

Because the build quality of the original AudioLab 8000A, 8000C and 8000P was so high, it is possible, after all this time, to bring them back to their original performance, or even to improve upon it. Therefore, we are offering our fine tuning/updating services for these products.

Don’t throw away, or part-exchange for almost nothing, a beautifully-made amplifier that could be young again. (If only the same could be done for us!) There is no need to spend your hard-earned money changing your amplifier. You can be efficient, ‘green’ and keep your beloved amp. Fine tune it!
