MF 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Watch

As you would expect, we have developed a special wristwatch to commemorate our ‘25th anniversary’ .

The classically-simple design has a modified tonne au-shaped case crafted of sterling-purity solid silver, which is highly polished. The back is engraved with a Musical Fidelity logo and ‘25th Anniversary Limited Edition’.

The face appears plain white but magnification reveals that it is embellished with a delicate guilloché-effect design. Guilloché patterns are spirograph-like curves that frame a curve within an inner and outer envelope curve. Guilloché machines were first used for a watch casing dated 1624, and consist of myriad gears and settings that can produce many different patterns. Many goldsmiths still use such machines to produce these infinitely-variable designs. Our watchmakers have used a modern version of this effect, produced by more efficient manufacturing methods. Our guilloché pattern radiates in concentric scalloped circles from the central point. In addition, the Musical Fidelity logo is silk-screened discreetly on the face.

The hours are marked by black Roman numerals which are slightly elongated or angled as dictated by the tonne au shape of the face. The elegant Breguet-style hour and minute hands are in very dark blue, as is usual with high-quality watches.

The watch is available in the gentlemen’s version only, with the case measuring 42mm in height. As the case is relatively slim and not ‘oversized’, the watch is also suitable for ladies who like a relatively large watch. It is on a high quality, black crocodile-effect leather strap. Inside the case is a high quality, Japanese quartz movement designed for accuracy and reliability.
