A1008 CD Player
The A1008 CD player uses the best CD transport in the world which has the most reliable and consistent data stream of any. The result is that the DAC is operating from the maximum amount of data which allows it to perform virtually perfectly.
The tube/transistor output stage is on the cutting-edge of what is possible today. It has immense output current and voltage swing capacity so it will drive any amplifier cable communication with ease.
The sound quality is sweet, limpid and transparent. Pretty-well, almost analogue. Not bad for a CD player.

| Internal/external power supply. The A1008 CD player is fitted with a high quality internal mains power supply. But it can also be operated from the A1008 amplifier's power supply. When used in this configuration the A1008 CD's internal power supply is entirely shut off. Now we get to the benefit! |
When the A1008 CD is used with an A1008 amplifier it is able to offer considerably improved performance because, like the A1008 amp it will be operating from an external power supply. |
