Linear Power Supply Upgrade for Musical Fidelity turntables

The power supply is a very important part of the audio path and significantly contributes to the sonic quality of an audio product. The X-Power TT is a power supply upgrade for the Musical Fidelity Roundtable S/S2, M8xTT and M6xTT. All Musical Fidelity turntables have their own power control built in. The motors are powered by a precision DC-driven AC generator for the utmost in precision of speed and stability. This means the frequency and voltage for the motor are completely generated from scratch by our speed control.

The Benefits of the X-Power TT

Although Musical Fidelity turntables have built in speed control, the X-Power TT offers many advantages.

• A linear power supply consists of an isolation transformer, which blocks interferences from mains getting through to your turntable’s sensitive motor electronics and cartridge.
• The built-in transformer has a much higher power reserve compared to the standard power adapter, meaning it is able to provide more consistent power. It has very low output impedance and in combination with its large filtration capability can easily manage all power needs even for the heaviest of mass-loaded platters.
• The X-Power TT will enhance our sophisticated speed control system, allow it to work cleaner, and improve sound staging, darkness of silent backgrounds and small-detail-resolution even further, contributing to a better overall performance.
